Journalism + DCDA • Storytelling & Design
I blend sharp reporting with clean, intentional design to create work that feels both smart and stylish. Think cool-girl edge with professional polish.
I'm a senior at Texas Christian University, majoring in Journalism with a minor in Digital Culture & Data Analytics. My studies combine traditional reporting skills with digital strategy, giving me a strong foundation in both storytelling and analytics. I've worked on projects that range from feature writing to web design, all with the goal of creating content that feels both polished and authentic.
I'm especially interested in lifestyle media and the role social platforms play in shaping how people connect with stories. I love experimenting with creative formats, whether that's through writing, visuals, or digital campaigns. Social media, fashion, and culture are areas where I feel most inspired, and I'm always looking for ways to bring personality and creativity into my work.
My short-term goal is to continue building my portfolio in journalism and digital media. Long term, I aspire to work in lifestyle media or brand storytelling, ideally blending editorial work with digital strategy. Outside of academics, I'm the type of person who brings energy, curiosity, and a little bit of humor to everything I do — I want my work to reflect that balance of professionalism and personality.
Strong background in journalism, from research and interviewing to crafting polished stories that are clear, accurate, and engaging for different audiences.
Experience with HTML, CSS, and GitHub for building and managing web projects, plus Adobe Creative Suite and data analytics platforms for versatile storytelling.
Passionate about lifestyle media, cultural storytelling, and social platforms. Skilled at experimenting with new digital tools and finding fresh ways to connect with audiences.
Background in dance and interest in fashion influence my visual sense and approach. I bring energy, creativity, and personality into every project.

Even though it's only week two, I'm already starting to get a feel for how this class works and what I'll be building toward. Right now, we're focusing on the foundations of HTML: learning structure, syntax, and how to use semantic elements to make a page accessible and clear. The labs have helped me practice the basics by creating a simple personal webpage and experimenting with links, images, and lists. What I'm noticing is that this isn't just about coding. It's about thinking critically about design, accessibility, and how people interact with digital content. I like that we're connecting technical skills with the bigger picture of communication and public engagement, because it makes the assignments feel more purposeful and not just technical drills.
